Description
A more family-friendly take on the concept I pos((i)t)ed yesterday:
In this case muscular hydrostats in the form of modified elephant trunks replace traditional push/pull skeletal muscles to serve as tentacular locomotory actuators in a biomech/biosuit arm. Given its basal proboscidean genetic template, this biomachine was very likely fabricated by some iteration of the elephant-obsessed Raman Empire:
This one didn't come out looking as traditionally "arm-like" as I envisioned...I added that eyeball laser for the visual interest almost on a whim, but it detracts from the originally intended implication that the appendage is a dexterous manipulator with nubby little trunk "fingers." Maybe this machine/suit/whatever has multiple paired upper-body limbs, and this is merely one of the auxiliary "weapon arms."

This is all quite fascinating how the "elephant-obsessed" Raman Empire uses genetically modified elephants in all their technology. BTW, care to expand a bit on the background to this Raman Empire, and what the god Rama himself has to do with it, and possibly why the specific obsession with elephants? I'd curious to hear all about it.
