Molbility Crab

Description

Studying the loosely articulated, segmented tails of mole crabs got me thinking about the possibility of bipedal arthropods converging on vertebates. The primary load-bearing locomotory legs attach to a faux "pelvis" on an ersatz "spinal column" derived from the tail, affording the potential for greater flexibility, mobility, and torsion than we usually see in crustaceans. If nothing else it might make a cool mech design.

Also, reversing the fore-aft orientation of

yields an awesome bipedal Diplocaulus or trilobite beetle "hammerhead" crab!

Rendered in a dreamy acid green. I'm just thinking about juicy little segments.
