ONE (1) potential example of deep-Earth fauna according to the scenario posited under
These heavily mutated descendants of orthodox surface marine cetaceans brazenly display the phyletic hybridization and evolutionary distortion endemic to many deep subterranean denizens, most evident here in a number of otherwise fantastically improbable anatomical aberrations. The bipedal locomotory limbs likely result from a transitory temporal cascade eruption eliciting the activation of relict evolutionary characteristics from the genome's latent auric field, while the flaring thoracic rib/limbs indicate probabilistic transposition from an entangled hereditary morphic lineage native to a parallel worldline. The apparent eyelessness is completely explicable as an adaptation to prevailing subsurface conditions, but the anomalous isopod replacing the tongue is very likely a sapient, bodyjacking parasite native to a less-fortunate, resource-deficient alternate continuum--one of many hosting opportunistic "alien" organisms eager to actively exploit terrestrial fauna via the temporalistic "weak points" deep in the Earth's stratigraphy. Of course, it may also be a mindless, degenerate descendant of deep-dwelling invertebrate extremophiles isolated from baseline surface evolution for half-a-billion years or more.
These look weird because I drew them with wax pencils and stripped the color. : |
