Biplodocus

Just a quick study of the Biplodocus…I couldn’t resist! I didn’t do as much with value for the sake of modelling on this one, so it may look kind of flat, but I didn’t want to lose that vivid yellow. (Her real name is Carmen Miranda, by the way, but you can call her Chiquita Banana.) This one has stouter (though still somewhat "anthro") legs, and more "contemporary" anatomy in general, but the posture gives some sense of how the bisauropods would use their thick, heavy tails to support themselves during movement on dry land.

There’s actually more of a story behind the elimination of the forelimbs in these retrodinos, relating to memories of dino books from childhood, but the explanation will make more sense if I wait until the next planned drawing in this series.

So whaddya think—alternate dinosaurs, or derived amphibians?
