Description

Yet another semi-hypnagogic image--theroplesiosaur hybrids. I picture them livin' and laughin' and lovin' along the seashore as they migrate up and down the coastline, similar to littoral seabirds. They scavenge along the beach and forage in tide pools and mangrove swamps, but the bulk of their diet comes from hunting in the shallow waters of bays, inlets, coral reefs and the like.

I should clarify that these guys are HUGE, massing along the lines of Elasmosaurus platyurus. And yes, I'm well aware plesiosaur necks couldn't bend that way; let's credit their dinosaurian heritage. Maybe some day they will learn to fly....But not today.

TOP:  Pushing off from the seabed
LEFT:  Trotting
RIGHT:  Displaying
BOTTOM:  Defending a nest

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TIM!

Seems to me, these guys have the best of both words for a penguin and ostrich, with a touch of t-rex. I like them!
