I was just trying to work out the color scheme here...Ideally it would have a more limited color palette, I think; maybe red-yellow-black/white.  The various bionuclear anatomical systems cables are "color-coded" both as a warning to predators and as a fitness display to potential mates and rivals.  I was thinking that with such a volatile fuel source, it works to everybody's advantage to identify the vital systems and their relative state of health or integrity...Almost like IFF signal interrogation, or color-coded tracer bullets to distinguish friendly versus enemy fire.
